Time for a look back at five exciting days in Düsseldorf.
On the day before the start of the trade fair (Sunday 12.11.23), we were one of the very few exhibitors out of almost 6,000 selected by the trade fair’s press office for the innovation report. A complete team came to us for photos and a video shoot with a model for the pictures and we were interviewed at the end. We were pleased with the attention and also enjoyed it somehow.
We had lots of good conversations on Monday. Among others with Dr. Patrick Rapp, State Secretary in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs and Prof. Dr. Kindervater, who visited the exhibitors in the Start-Up Park.
On Tuesday, we had even more discussions with many interested parties, possible industry partners and potential investors from all over the world. The public health department from Düsseldorf was also informed about the sensor’s areas of application, as was a delegation from Brazil, including a translator.
On Wednesday, we were particularly pleased to receive a visit from NRW Minister President Hendrik Wüst. As the only start-up from BW and one of the few selected exhibitors, we were able to present our SNIPS to him in a direct conversation. His comment: “You must have investors queuing up”.
Due to the rail strikes, there were fewer visitors at the trade fair on Thursday and some had already left on Wednesday, but it was still a good day for us with lots of interesting discussions.
It was an exhausting time, but it was definitely worth it for us. English was important for communication, sometimes High German was enough, in a few cases even Hohenlohe.
Now we have some follow-up work to do, and of course the development of our sensor continues at full speed.
Thanks to the team at Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i), to OKW Odenwälder Kunststoffwerke Gehäusesysteme GmbH for their uncomplicated and quick help, to aformatik for their ongoing support in the further development of the AI software, to Start-up BW and last but not least: all MeiLuft employees.
Stay healthy!
